- Review details you submit, including hotel, location, ratings, written comments, and photos.
- Your email address when you voluntarily subscribe for updates and deals.
- Technical and anti-abuse information, such as approximate location, browser details, timestamps, and security signals.
- Hotel selection information provided through Google Places when you choose a hotel.
How we use information
We use this information to operate ShaveScore, calculate and publish ratings, review submissions for safety and quality, prevent spam and abuse, communicate with subscribers, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations. Reviews and approved photos may be displayed publicly. Your subscriber email address is not displayed publicly.
Photos and personal information
Do not upload photos containing people, identification, room numbers, travel documents, reflections of private activity, or other sensitive information. We may reject or remove content that creates a privacy or safety concern.
Service providers
We use service providers to host and protect the site, store submissions, provide hotel search, prevent automated abuse, and deliver email. These may include OpenAI Sites, Cloudflare Turnstile, Google Places, and Resend. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy terms.
Email choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in an email or by contacting us. We may still send essential service or safety messages when appropriate.
Retention and requests
We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including fraud prevention and legal compliance. To request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted, email us at hello@shavescore.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Changes
We may update this policy as ShaveScore grows. The date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.
